morning to all of you. Today, we as a student practical of HIIS(Hitect
Integrated Innovation Solution Sdn. Bhd) or known as UTeM Holding
need to create new blog. This blog just like a journal to us along our
practical in HIIS. HIIS established on December 2011 and the main director are Mr.Mazran
Bin Esro, Eng.Siva Kumar a/l Subramaniam. Today is our fourth day on
HIIS.

First day in HIIS, I need
to fill information card of practical that must be pass to En.Adie Bin Khafi by
this week. Mr.Mazran explain a little bit about company and who will supervise
us along this practical. For the first task, Mr.Mazran give me a sample of
microcontroller PIC and I need to accomplished the new PIC just like the
sample. For this task, I learn how to solder electronic components that never
use on laboratory along this years because we only use basic component and
machines. Its the new thing for me and it a little bit difficult for the first
time to solder because the size of component very small and do not have any
leg. Mr.Mazran teach me how to solder the components in easy way and the
soldering must only use a small amount of tin-lead alloy. For this soldering,
we use tin-lead alloy and not lead-free alloy. The components that Mr.Mazran
gave me can't complete the PIC like sample PIC because he not have stock for
the components. So, I only accomplished by using the components that I have.
Second day in HIIS, we
have supervise by Eng.Siva on morning because Mr.Mazran has seminar. Eng.Siva
also explain about company to us. It more about history of the company and what
project that already accomplished by this company and the project incoming
while we on practical. This company more uses microcontroller and PLC for the
project. So, we have to know about microcontroller and PLC. For PLC, we will
have slot next week and Eng.Siva also give me task to remember how to read
value of components and we must sort the components next week. Sorting by value
of components. We also must learn about how to read value from SMD component
bacause the component that we always use and learn is type of through hole.
Eng.Siva told us about project that maybe we will involved on our practical.
After briefing by Eng.Siva, we need to accomplished task by note that Mr.Mazran
gave to us to complete the PIC by using the new components that he already buy
and he want to check PIC in afternoon. After lunch break, Mr.Mazran gave us
module about IPC and we have to read the standard for soldering that must be
follow. In module 4 and module 7 explain about the acceptance soldering or
defect soldering by Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3. If class 1 defect, class 2
and 3 also defect. If class 2 defect, class 3 also defect but class 1 is
acceptance. by reading this book, we must compare to our PIC soldering with the
standard and we saw a lot of fault on our soldering. This module we can keep it
to study more about IPC.

Third day in HIIS, Mr.Mazran check our PIC soldering and mark
soldering that differ compare to standard. He also asked the causes that make
the soldering become like that. The next task, we have to make corrections to
our soldering. After finished the correction, Mr.Mazran gave us PIC circuit and
ask us to remove component that we want to use to complete our PIC board. We
use sucker to remove soldering from PIC. It's not easy because of the
components have more than one leg. So, we need to melting the all legs at
the same time or try to pull one leg and move to another leg. After that, we
soldering the component to our PIC.
Fourth day in HIIS, the first task for today is make a blog for
Industrial Attachment. It's more like daily notebook and can be a reference
when we want to make a Industrial Report. The other task are make website for
HIIS by using dreamweaver. After lunch break, we continue soldering the
additional component for our PIC. We finished soldering for the components that
given.
